2. I read it properly
I look at the references and the placement and work out the session it genuinely needs. Usually the same day, always within a couple of days.
3. You get a straight answer
One recommended session and its whole-session price, with a link to book it on the live calendar. No pressure, no chasing.

What makes a good reference photo
The quote is only as good as the photos. For a portrait, the photo is the design, so it matters more than anything else you send.
- Sharp and well lit. Natural daylight, no heavy filters, no motion blur. If you have to zoom in to see the eyes, it is too small.
- The original file, not a screenshot. Send the photo itself from your camera roll or a scan of the print. Screenshots and WhatsApp forwards lose the detail I need.
- One subject, facing roughly the camera. A three-quarter or straight-on face reads best in black and grey. Group photos can work if the person is clear and large in the frame.
- A photo of the area on you. Arm, leg or chest in plain light, so I can see the space and any existing work. That decides the size and the session length.

How I Calculate Your Quote
Your estimate is based on "Professional Averages"—the time I know a piece needs to be done properly, without rushing it. What about completion rates?
- Portraits: Usually quoted as a dedicated 4-hour session.
- Themed Sleeves: Usually quoted as an 8-hour (Arm) or 10-hour (Leg) themed sleeve session.
- Custom Projects: Larger work (back pieces/torsos) will be quoted as a series of Day Sittings.
