Terms & Conditions

By booking an appointment with me at Rebel Studio—whether via this website, social media, or in person—you are entering into a binding contract and agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Eligibility & ID (Strict 18+ Policy)

  • Legal Age: You must be 18 years of age or older to be tattooed. This is UK Law under the Tattooing of Minors Act 1969.
  • Parental Consent: I do not accept parental consent for anyone under 18.
  • Valid ID: You must bring a valid photo ID (Passport or Driving License) to your appointment.
  • Challenge 25: If you appear to be under 25 and fail to provide ID, I cannot tattoo you, and your deposit will be forfeited.

2. Booking & Deposits

  • Confirmation: No appointment is confirmed until a non-refundable deposit has been paid.
  • Deposit Amount: Deposits are paid via Stripe when booking online and are deducted from your total — £50 for a 3 or 4 hour sitting, £100 for a 6 hour, £150 for an 8 hour, and £200 for a 10 hour. The remaining balance is payable on the day by cash or bank transfer.
  • Non-Refundable: All deposits are strictly non-refundable.

2a. Gift Vouchers

  • What they cover: A gift voucher pays in full for one named session (3, 4, 6, 8 or 10 hours) of black and grey realism by Liam Rebel Tattoos at the Chapeltown studio, as described on this website. It cannot be split across sessions, transferred to another studio or artist, or exchanged for cash. A longer session than the voucher covers can be booked by settling the difference with Liam on the day.
  • Validity: Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. The session must be booked and take place before the expiry date printed on the voucher.
  • Refunds: A voucher bought online can be cancelled by the buyer for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided it has not been used to book a session. After that, vouchers are non-refundable.
  • Booking with a voucher: Sessions are booked at liamrebeltattoos.com/gift-vouchers/redeem using the voucher code; no deposit is taken. Once booked, the voucher stands in place of the deposit and all booking terms on this page apply: 72 hours' notice is required to move the date (one move without penalty), and a late cancellation, no-show, or a session cancelled under the ID, numbing cream or tap out rules forfeits the voucher.
  • Genuine vouchers: Liam Rebel Tattoos gift vouchers are only sold at liamrebeltattoos.com/gift-vouchers or in the studio. Liam never sells vouchers by message, and never asks to be paid with shop gift cards.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Notice Period: I require at least 72 hours' notice to reschedule an appointment.
  • One-Time Move: You may reschedule your appointment once without losing your deposit, provided the 72-hour notice is given.
  • Late Cancellations: If you cancel or reschedule with less than 72 hours' notice, your deposit is forfeited to cover lost drawing time and the studio slot.
  • No-Shows: Failure to show up for your scheduled appointment will result in the immediate loss of your deposit.

4. Pricing & Payment

  • Balance Due: The remaining balance for your session is due immediately upon completion.
  • Duration-Based Model: Themed Sleeves and Full Day Sittings are priced based on the booking slot, not an hourly rate.
  • The "Tap Out" Policy: If you cannot complete the full session due to pain or fatigue, the full price of the booked session is still payable on the day.
  • Return Sessions: Any future sessions required to finish work due to a "tap out" will be charged at the standard hourly rate.
  • Lateness: Arriving more than 15 minutes late or taking excessive breaks (more than 10 minutes every 2 hours) cuts into your tattoo time. If the tattoo is unfinished due to these delays, a paid follow-up session will be required.

5. Designs & Creative Control

  • Themed Sleeves: For "Themed Sleeve" packages, I retain creative control over the layout to ensure the design fits within the single-sitting timeframe.
  • Redesign Fees: A fee applies for complete redesigns or a total change of concept. See Pricing & Packages for current rates.
  • Copyright: I retain full copyright and ownership of all custom designs and artwork. You may not reproduce the design for commercial use (e.g., clothing or logos) without written permission.

6. Health, Safety & Numbing Cream

  • Medical Disclosure: You must disclose any medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, blood-borne viruses) or skin conditions prior to booking.
  • Numbing Cream: You must inform me if you intend to use numbing cream. Improper use can ruin skin texture for realism; if the skin is unworkable, the session will be cancelled and the deposit forfeited.
  • Sobriety: I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

7. Aftercare & Guarantee

  • Client Responsibility: Once you leave the studio, the healing of the tattoo is your responsibility. Aftercare instructions will be provided.
  • Free Touch-Up: One free touch-up is available within 3 months of the appointment, provided my aftercare instructions were followed.
  • Negligence: Touch-ups required due to negligence (e.g., sun damage, picking, swimming) will be charged at the standard rate.
