Roaring lion and skull covering old skull work on the calf

Sam had two old skulls and a diamond patch design running down his calf. We covered them with a roaring lion, with a skull tucked underneath its jaw.

The lion's mane fills the top of the calf, and the skull sits low towards the ankle, so the whole area of the old work is covered in one piece.

This was the first of two sittings: 6 hours so far, with around 3 more to finish once it's fully healed.
