Torn-skin suspension piece with a hidden Yorkshire rose, back of the calf
Shown standing, this is the biomechanical calf piece with the skin ripped open to reveal the suspension underneath: coil spring, shock absorber and hoses, with a Yorkshire rose tucked onto the mounting plate.
With the leg weighted, you can see how the machinery follows the muscle and how the torn edges wrap round the sides of the calf.
Done for Mitch in one 10-hour sitting.
